In the city of Wheat Ridge, arts are an integral part of its cultural fabric. Public art and cultural activities reflect the eclectic and diverse personality of the city, and artistic elements and expression throughout its neighborhoods and business corridors are encouraged. Funds in this program are used to enhance the community by fostering artists and art programs in all media, including visual art, performing arts and literary arts. This applies to creation, performances, preservation and education of dance, live music, storytelling, poetry, drama, comedy, heritage and history, murals, sculptures and poetry, arts education, museums, theater, film and other expressions of creativity or imagination that compliment and enhance the community.
