George E. Bailey graduated from Lakewood High School, and Dr. George P. Bailey was the doctor for sports teams at Lakewood High School for many years. The George Bailey Memorial Scholarship recognizes a graduate of Lakewood High School who has made an outstanding contribution to his/her school or community and is pursuing studies toward a medical or public health career.
