GAME SHOW BOOT CAMP COMING TO LAS VEGAS
All-time top players to lead weekend for charity in August
LAS VEGAS June 9, 2022 — James Holzhauer and Brad Rutter lead the list of game show greats offering advice, inside tips, and head-to-head competition at the Game Show Boot Camp, coming to Las Vegas on August 19-21, 2022.
Aspiring game show contestants can learn from the best ― classic players from shows like Jeopardy!, The Chase, and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? ― and get tips from casting directors and other game show veterans at the event. A highlight will be Saturday night’s Titan Throwdown, an in-person game show where the top boot camp participants will battle the champions for prizes and bragging rights. The camp is open to anyone age 18 and over who hopes to join the ranks of TV game show winners.
It’s all for a good cause: the Game Show Boot Camp is a fundraiser for Project 150 (project150.org), a local non-profit providing free support and services to homeless, displaced and disadvantaged high school students.

Boot camp events will include seminars on How To Be A Great Contestant (by Maggie Speak, Hollywood game show producer for over 40 years), Secrets of the Buzzer (by Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions winner Fritz Holznagel), and practice game play. Breakout panel discussions will look at the nuances of today’s most popular game shows. Other special treats will be a live demo of Kno’dgeball, an uproarious combination of trivia and dodgeball, and a behind-the-scenes look at the new National Archives of Game Show History at the Strong National Museum for Play in Rochester, NY. A cap on the number of participants will keep the presenters and panelists accessible.
In Saturday night’s Titan Throwdown, qualified and lucky boot camp participants will match wits with Holzhauer, Rutter, and some surprise special guests ― players with combined game show earnings of over TEN MILLION DOLLARS. This fun evening event will be open to the public, and will also include an autograph session with the stars, all benefiting Project 150.
