Buzzy, Pam and The Beast round out the
list of stars coming to the Game Show Boot Camp
Global game show celebrity The Beast, along with Jeopardy! legends Buzzy Cohen and Pam Mueller, have been announced as the final additions to the titans who’ll be appearing at the Game Show Boot Camp in Las Vegas on August 19-21.
The Game Show Boot Camp is 48 hours of workshops and advanced training for anyone who wants to learn from the best how to get on their favorite show… and win. The big weekend, which will also include auditions for the game show Jeopardy!, features appearances by a dazzling lineup of game show stars, including James Holzhauer, Brad Rutter, Amy Schneider, Muffy Marracco, Brandon Blackwell, Victoria Groce, and Jason Zuffranieri.
All will be on hand to take part in workshops and share personal tips with campers. They’ll also be on stage for the TITAN THROWDOWN, the big Saturday night event where lucky campers will match wits with the best of the best in a game show-style contest.
Mark Labbett ― known the world over as The Beast ― has won $0 on Jeopardy but has amassed over 600 hours as a pro quizzer. He has defended over $20 million and is probably the only quizzer to have appeared on shows on three continents. “I am not the best quizzer in the world but I am ferociously competitive and extremely well prepared,” he says. “Whatever your game show, you should know your strategy before you step out on that shiny floor.”
Buzzy Cohen delighted Jeopardy! viewers with his natty dress, sharp wit, and splendid skills during a ten-game run in 2016. He won the show’s 2017 Tournament of Champions, and returned as one of the six captains for the Jeopardy! All-Star Games in 2019. Buzzy then crossed the stage to guest-host the 2021 Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions. His Audible book "Get Ready: A Champion’s Guide to Preparing for Moments That Matter" helps listeners learn how to be ready for life's big moments.
Pam Mueller was a student at Loyola University when she won the Jeopardy! College Championship in 2002. Since then she's earned a degree from Harvard Law and a PhD in Social Psychology from Princeton, and has appeared in four different Jeopardy! tournaments, culminating with her appearance in the prestigious Jeopardy! All-Star Games in 2019. “I’ve learned a lot about human performance in my studies and behind the podium,” Pam says, “And I can’t wait to share it at the Game Show Boot Camp.”
The Game Show Boot Camp will be held just off the Las Vegas Strip at the Hampton Inn Tropicana, 4975 Dean Martin Drive. The Titan Throwdown will take place nearby at The Space, 3460 Cavaretta Court in Las Vegas, on Saturday evening, August 20.
The Game Show Boot Camp is a fundraiser for a very good cause: Project 150 (project150.org), a Las Vegas non-profit providing free support and services to homeless, displaced and disadvantaged high school students.
