Hank Stites Memorial Park — at 29th Avenue and Newland Street — served as a fitting location for the Wheat Ridge community to say farewell to former Mayor Frank Stites during a February 4, 2017, celebration-of-life ceremony. “This park is a living memorial to a life well-lived and enjoyed,” Mike Stites said as part of his remarks. Stites Park is a pocket park in Wheat Ridge with a baseball field, basketball court, playground and picnic tables.
